I Don't Want To Get Married | 2 minute Spoken Word

Lyrics:

I don't want to get married if he isn't God's choice.

I don't want him to pursue unless he heard God's voice.

I can't be texting and flirting giving pieces of my heart away, unless he's the one I see standing at the altar on our wedding day.

I don't want to be married if it's only for better and not for worse.

And I'm especially on interested if he's not married to Jesus first.

I'm not looking for a sensual relationship defined by lust, but a lifelong partnership rooted in love and built on trust.

I will patiently wait until God opens that door, not passively wait, as I push to become the godly woman he's praying for

Whether single or married, I'll work to become like my Father who is perfect -determined to place my heart in His hands,

so he can give it to the man that deserves it.

But for now, my ring finger is bare for I am not betrothed.

And until that day comes I'll remain completely clothed.

This runs deeper than simply trying to play the good girl or being well behaved, no I'm saving myself because I have been saved.

Because of the love that He gave I have been remade, by Christ's amazing grace, and when we see Him face-to-face, may He say at the happily ever after ending of our story.

"Well done my faithful servant's your love brought me glory."

I don't want to get married.

Unless, you're the one He's been preparing.
